整窗簾定百頁簾?

整窗簾係咪好貴ga?有冇好同價錢合理嘅公司介紹?thank you!

Vertical and Venetian blinds are just places to collect dust and they leak light. I want something 99% light coverage and would be like vinyl.

整窗簾係可以好貴, all depends on the material and style you choose.  Faux wood blinds are the cheapest and cloth binds could be the most expensive.

The last store we used was only OK and I'm not going to recommend to you.

TOP

Which one? Can u tell the company name or area of the store?

Kingsway and Joyce, East Vancouver.  I forgot the store name.  My wife may remember.  Actually they aren't bad.  Just that we need a 2nd and 3rd visit by the boss in order to fix everything as we want.  The 1st visit by the staff is obviously not well trained.

If you live in a condo, ask you strata before you replace them...

TOP

Even the strata doesn't allow you to change the outmost blind, you could always "add" an extra one inside.  That's what we did to our bedroom in our previous apartment.

I got some verticle blinds from home depot, 20%off that time. Ok la

My advice as an interior decorator:

You should first set a budget.
Decide on how many windows you want to purchase coverings for.
Decide if all the windows will have the same style. eg: bathroom vs kitchen
Research on all the window coverings best suit your needs...ie: (color/% of sun block/light vs heavy/style)

Nothing is dust free. Some just make cleaning easier.
Vinyl and some vertical blinds are outdated and can make your home appear "low" budget...unless you don't mind.
Faux wood is cheaper but quite heavy.
Drapes are way more expensive than blinds if you need to custom make (unless you can find some that will fit your windows at stores)
If you are going to spend the money, make sure you choose something that will not only suit your life style but also your furniture and your paint color.

There are a ton of window coverings these days...not limited to blinds or drapes anymore.

*Window coverings play a huge rule in the overall appearance of your home. You may consider spending a bit extra and pay attention to choosing the correct style to add value if you plan to live comfortably or sell your home in the near future.

B2L2 is too kind.
We gave our business to this Chinese place which I thought the price was good and convenient to my home, and we were in a huge hurry. They had good fabric selection and I found the pattern I wanted. Although $3,500 wasn't a huge amount, it took them 4x to fix and complete my order! And it was the owners who screwed up! They kept delaying my order saying that they have other clients to deal with. I got fed up and yelled at them before they finally came. We were ill informed, received poor service and took waaaay too long! My home was without any window covering for 2 months! Felt very insecure. The blinds were good coz they ordered them from elsewhere but the installation and custom made Roman shades were not done correctly. I also suspected that they cheated and ordered double the fabrics at my expense. Please DO NOT go to them. I'd rather pay more for better service if I can choose again.

Yes, even designers get screwed by merchants and clients! Unfortunately, we only learned the designing aspect of things but not how to foresee poor services. Oh well, it's part of the learning outside of designing school so now we can tell others what to look for and avoid.
Look beyond pricing otherwise, you're stuck with a sore thumb and a job poorly done and a load of frustration!
Ask all the details and pay attention to their attitude and showroom...(a poorly organized, outdated, or dirty show room tells you something)
