Can anyone recommend a licensed electrician that do high ceiling installation for chandelier? I want to replace my old fixture on top of my staircase. Thank you.
You do not need a electrician to install a chandelier for you, any handyman with the right equipment can do that for you unless you need to do some serious rewiring.
If you are changing a light fixture where all the hard wiring is already in place, you can do it yourself providing then you're confident and is skillful. You will need at least two people to do this job if you diy. It's much harder specially if it's a large ceiling light. If anything should happen your insurance would not cover for any damages or fire. Inexperienced electrician can do the job very quickly and efficiently. They bring you piece of mind and the hassle. It's up to you what you wanted you but make sure safety comes first don't try to put yourself in any risk just to save a few dollars. I've seen ppl started fire, damaged their wiring when attempted to DIY. This ended up costing more and longer to fix.
Thank u so much, we did find a company already, I just want to change the old fixture and replace it with a new one, but if it doesn't work out, i will ask u for the contact info. Thank U!
