Fireplace make over

As one of my projects, the fireplace was a must to be re-done.

The house was only 2 yrs old however, I was surprised to see the huge niche above the fireplace. It was not the right size for a TV, no recessed lighting at top for displaying accessories. Just simply not practical and didn't serve my purpose. Therefore, decided to give it a make over!

To cut cost and time, I've decided to use faux stone panels. It has the look and feel of real stones, yet, without the weight and cost involved. It was a fun DIY project.

Took us two half days to finish the job and all the touch up, not too bad.    The faux stone panel is easy to deal with even for 1st time DIY-er.

    Lol. People keep saying we have a safe somewhere! You are not the only one! The truth is our safe doesn't exist!
