u can spend a few grands more and get a new STI....... new STI are only 39k

even if not STI, a new WRX is still better

That was long time ago la and if not "S" then I don't want la, rather pay less for a Civic as I don't really care about the luxury part, but the one you had was a good deal.

update :

ended up trading in RX300 for Sienna...haha
we tried a couple of other minivans but this drove the most similar to Lexus..
also we didn't change the tires on the Lexus since we were gonna sell it...saved another $1000 there

the dealership ended up giving us an extra $2000 on top of the black book top value for our Lexus
I guess they were trying to get rid of their stock with the economy doing so bad...also we got the Toyota Graduate rebate so saved another $500 there.

as for those asking about the car seat issue, yes, an RX300 can fit 2 car seats...but we also have 4 adults! Actually my parents already have a minivan but theirs is a super old caravan that won't be able to fit 2 car seats + 2 strollers...so we ended up with the Sienna with the huge trunk.

now i wanna ask about installing backup sensors..is it best to go back to the dealership to install? I've read some horror stories about aftermarket sensors that got water inside or malfunctioned or beeped all the time....also what price range am I looking at?

wonder how much toyota charges for this:

aftermarket one are about $300 installed (painted to match factory color), yet like OEM sensor if the car is dirty and whenever the sensor has poor connection or coverage etc, some ppl do trust those too much and ended up damaging the bumpers while the sensors are supposed to be "helpful"...

have seen so many of those accident with benz / bmw in the body shop just because the stupid sensor lied...

I have backup sensor on the Sienna, I never trust it.  I do the parking while the sensor "beep" all they want.

CSX S = 34.5k out the door, tax in.
WRX = 35k + freight&PDI + Tax.
Very easily we can contemplate those other cars for that little bit more, grass is always greener on the other side.
Fuel Econ on turbo fours are horrible if you drive spritely.  Been there, done that.

On CSX, they have fix the 3rd gear problem from 08 #167 on ... so look for 08 with VIN after 167.
For 4k differences against a Si sedan. 27.5+tax vs 34.5, CSX-S isn't as bad as a deal as many thinks.

I have to disagree, 512 is a better tire than MVX4.  Just dont expect 512 to last.
I had MXV4, RT-215, 512, 912, W409 on the same car.  912 was the best all around, closely follow by 512.

I have 2000km 215/45/17 MXV4 for sale if anyone wants them.
