I've removed the " Mazda " logo last time because I can't stand they put the Mazda / M / Mx5 logos all in a small area.
Was going to get the Roadster logo from ebay until i decided not to keep the car. I also hate the tail light design, too bad
there isn't any aftermarket tail light at that time. and the MH1 LED tail light is too expensive.

Yeah, CP. That's exactly why I debadged the NC la. Now I can slap my Honda Mugen S2000 Civic Type R Dragon Edition stickers on back of the car now~

I did the JDM way, remove the "3" (now it's my keychain). Bought the "Axela" logo from Japan.

When I was pulled over by the cop a few years back, the cop couldn't figure what model was my car. So my ticket has "Blue Mazda" on it instead.

I had the tix disputed.

On the other hand, I really like the Roadster badge. You should get it, probably from some Miata club.

the cop can ticket u for having a different destination on the back of your car than the insurance papers.  

smart cops will use the insurance paper as reference when writing the ticket.
