i've read that topic. it's about 人情, not 禮金. i want to know how much should a guy give to the girl's parents. and not how much should one give to the couple when attending their wedding.

right. sorry about it.

When I got married, we had two weddings, one in Taiwan which 男家 hosted and got the 禮金 and another one in Malaysia which my wife's parents hosted and got the 禮金.  男家 also gave reasonable amount of money to my wife's parents.  I forgot how much, sorry.

myversa speaks mandarin. May be 禮金 in taiwan means same thing as 人情.

lucky number...
so like $9999 or $8888? but $8888 is just "rich" but $9999 is for the couple like a blessing right?
or $8899?

It's really depends how much your hubby can afford and how much ur parent is asking for~ I think the 禮金 is not necessary in a huge amount.. as you and ur hubby will have to spend quite a lot for your wedding..and the 人情 is hardly cover the 酒席..
addicted to OROCHI Z~~! ♥
