想買 all season tire 有冇好介紹

2005 ford focus ses, 想買 16" all season tire, 有冇好介紹? thx!

Hankook

We changed our SUV's tires to Hankook all seasons ultrahigh-performance last fall. We were in a hurry so bought them from Volco Tires on Bridgeport. Reasonable prices and good service.

Very happy with the tires so far, in dry, rainy or snowy conditions.

If you're not in a hurry, should check out TireRack.com as they now ship to Canada. My friend said that even with shipping and duties it's still about 60% of the price compared to buying locally.

Both my g/f and I are using Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS pole Position Ultra High Performance All Seasons right now. I'm using 15" on my Echo Hatch and she's using 16" on her VW Jetta. She drives to SFU from Richmond and has reported exceptional grip and she likes them a lot. I would recommend them as well.

For 16" they are available in the following sizes on tirerack.com
205/55ZR16 91W $114 USD Each
215/55ZR16 93W $122 USD Each
225/50ZR16 92W $135 USD Each
225/55ZR16 95W $128 USD Each
225/60R16 98W $119 USD Each
245/50ZR16 97W $148 USD Each

Now if you want something cheaper I guess you can try Hankook or Kumho or Falkens. But then there's always mixed reviews because people would claim it's best-bang for the buck, whereas I think good tires is crucial to a car because that's the only thing keeping your car on the ground. We are both spirited drivers and these tires have exhibited minimal wear while keeping the car performing well.

i just wanted to ask those who bought online (say tirerack)...where did you get your tires installed ?

I picked mine up at Point Roberts, pay about $10 depot fees and pay the remaining taxes at the border. Then I will have the tires installed at Volco because these guys are the best and fastest in dealing with custom rims.

after I checked my car, it come with 205/50-16, can I use Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS pole Position?

I wanna to save some money, should I buy and install the new tires in states?

TOP

You can install them in the states if you want. Discount Tire can do that for you because they have a location in Bellingham and they will charage you $19.99 USD per tire mount & Balance

918 Lakeway Drive
Bellingham, WA 98229
(360) 647-0583

$19.99 per tire, all sizes, for installation, rubber valve & lifetime computer spin balancing.

M-F 8:00-6:00
Sat 8:00-5:00

So you can call them and then see what are available choices in 205/50/16. They will probably tell you the following choices: Kumho AST/ASX or Hankook Ventus(Korean), Falken ZE512/912(Japanese), but try to avoid the BFGoodrich or GoodYear(American tires). As Traum said above, RE960s aren't cheap tires, but if you still want to consider them you can also ask if they can get you a set or something

Cheers

thanks 各位大哥意見!

why avoid the BFgoodrich & Goodyear?

As discount tire do not offer RE960s, I think I will choose Falken 512.
