Cancun is a safe place for tourist, as well as Puerto Vallarta...

Make sure you don't go other strange places if you are single...

yup, i feel safe everywhere. i have a big group of 13ppl. hehe.

i tried eat dinner (local food) in downdown area. There are BIG suv park in front. They sit a big table of 8 right beside us. Male (looks being the boss) never stop cell call (3 cell on table!). Females all good fashion. One looks like big boss's wife, wearing a US$30,000 Rolex. That scare me.

you r right, this 四防機mainly for wet sports, or sand/dust/dirty environment.
under the sun, quality ok
no good in the dark.
i use it for underwater photo. Snorkel or Snuba
dry environment, i will use my Lumix FZ100 and Nikon D7000.
Lumix is very handy, good when site seeing.
Nikon is too heavy with extra lens and flash. i use it when need 'quality'
