are you talking about the ones that can be taken apart into 2 equal halves? the middle part has helical ridges like a screw/bolt and can be put together to become a typical length chopstick. i didn't have to buy it. i went to a hotpot place in taipei and they give them out for free. it's common in other restaurants to give them out too. but then, of course, they won't be as nice as the purchased ones.
if you want steel chopsticks, consider those korean ones. they are flat and heavier, and it took time to get used to them. but i really like them. i use them at home |
