Discrepancies between Chinese and Canadian Media on Empire Center Incident
(A) "White teenagers having sexual intercourse in the staircase of a Chinese Strip Mall" has not been published in Richmond News. Either Empire Center did not have the video, or Richmond News was refraining themselves from publishing that particular part.
(and Empire Center now has a XXX store right where the Chinese Art Store used to be ... )
(B) "White teenagers asking for monetary donation from Chinese mall goers" has not been published either.
In terms of the Law, they are violating: Safe Street act, Trespassing Act, offenses tending to corrupt morals.
For those who are not familiar with the law, when you are asked by strangers for monetary donation:
(A) Panhandlers are not allowed to approach: captive audiences at bus stops, customer services, five meters diameter from bank machines, and drivers/passengers in vehicles, including public transit. And definitely not in a shopping mall.
In extreme case, they could even be charged for extortion, despite they are minors. That depends on the manner of their solicitation. And when 2 or more people approach you, they are also violating the Safe Street Act.
Discrepancies are based on what I've read from different publishing, and that excludes the RCMP, because they said, "The investigation is continuing". |
