new lens 85 or 135 to pair with 50 (full frame)?

Hi,
Now my longest lens is a 50mm.  When it comes to longer lens, would you go with a 85mm or 135mm, given you next focal lenght is a 50?

I want to know if it make sense to get 85 (1.8) since I already have a 50 I really really love and use most of the time.  But 135L seems waayy too long to use indoor.  What would you do?  I am mostly shoot portraiture.   

Anyone has both 135 and 85 (1.8 or 1.2) can you tell me your take on this.  Also, I am not interested in 70-200 at the time time.

People usually pair with 100/135 if they already have a 50. How often are you shooting that length? If not that often, maybe it's better to have a 70-200 2.8 IS.

I vote for 135.  I have them all, and use my 135 lot more often then 85.

Even 85 are not long (tele) at all, still within the "standard" range, or you mean PRIME only? I guess you have some other tele zoom?

By the way, which brand are you talking about? 135L is Canon, and it is F2, F1.8 .. should be the one for SONY....

shooting 5D.  I live to shoot close law, therefore only short focal lenght.  But sometime I love some compression, you know that dreamy creamy photo.  
I shoot my friend 85 1.4.  It is nice, but still like 50 more.  I love to try the 135 to see if i like, but fear it is not very useful in my situation.

i would say 135 in your case, i have the 135L F2.0 for my 30d, the bokeh it produce is really awesome, i love it, and it will be even better on your 5D.
But of course, it will be used more often outdoor than indoor unless it is a large venue. So at the end it will all depend on your shooting habit
