I think I opened a post on photo mags a few years back.  I just threw away almost 100kg of magazines this week.  I realized 90% of the photo mags that I subscribed to do not interest me anymore.

Now I only subscribe to

LFI
Shots
Black & White
Aperture

Any other good magazines that focus on b&w and/or fine art photography?

Ya, I've already studied the line-up culture in Vancouver.  People seem to like to line up for anything.

Yes, the understanding of how we live and has an eye for it is more important and that is his artistry.  There is now a good scene on Kingsway close to metrotown.  People are lining for pre-sales.

That is the epic centre of the world we are living in.  The end of middle class and the democracy associated with it.

If you have time, go there and look, you may get some awesome photos or a condo.

Does he shoot digital now?  I've only seen his work till about 2006 and he was still using film back then.  But ya, for his style, digital or film makes no difference.

Compared to other street photographers who purposely look for funny scenes, I think he's more philosophical and his real purpose is to portray how we humans live in the current world.  The funny elements are just byproducts of this goal.

Elliot Erwitt is great too.  You can learn a lot from him.  But recently I've been getting most of my inspirations from Martin Parr.

Not all magazines are fully available online.  Also, for images, I prefer seeing them on paper than on the screen.
