yes, Kintaro has been reopened (I went there after the reopening and got a complimentary green tea)... but I am disappointed as the ramen don't taste so good anymore (because of the new chefs).. The fatty beef are too salty... I had to drink like 3 cups of water...
I believe the new ramen place is called Benkei or something? I didn't try that because there wasn't a line up
i no that they r closed for now, but for a funny reason, they still order produce (becoz they order from my company) ...i wonder where he uses those produce. maybe i should ask him next time haha

thx for the information. I have walked by Kintaro and there was a paper telling us to walk down the street beside us to have the GOOD RAMEN and I saw the new Ramen Restaurant. This new restaurant has the Ramen Kintaro offered but I don't know if it would be the same taste as the old Kintaro. Knowing that they have same boss, I hope it would be as good as the Kitaro Ramen.
no im not sure that the denman location's closed. like i said.. we drove past and it looked like it had closed down - it had newspaper covering the entire window. it could be under renovation.
Directly across the street is a new ramen house: Motomachi Shokudo Ramen (740 Denman). It looks very stylish and upscale. The seating capacity looks a little small, with one large communal table and bar seating. They serve ramen (noodles) with a variety of innovative descriptions.
From Vancouver Magazine, the owner/chef of Kintaro open this new ramen place next door. But they didn't say anything about closing of Kintaro. Are u sure that the demon location is closed? http://www.vancouvermagazine.com/foodanddrink/08jan/Food.shtml
i guess everyone knows that the one in rmd closed down a long time ago..
but what about the one in dt??
i drove by there a week ago or so and it looks like they have closed down too...?
or are they just under renovation? anyone knows??
