STAY AWAY FROM EXPEDIA book

So I purchased a group buy discount for the first time ever, it was the Expedia Hotel Card from Snuggies.com.
The Deal: $25 for $50 use to book any hotel on the expedia network.

So i went through expedia before i buy the card to check out the hotel price that i was gonna reserve in comparison to the hotel's own price, and found that expedia price is cheaper by $15, so im thinkin DEAL!

AFTER, the hotel card was send to me, and i start making reservations, ALL THE HOTEL PRICES on that hotelcard network was jacked up by 10-20%, for the hotel i initially wanted to use the deal on, it is now $30 more than the hotel's site!!!!

HOWEVER, there is a Price GURRANTEED FORM on thehotelcard page for price match, then i send in the form, NO REPLY FOR TWO DAYS!! i called in, and they WONT PRICE MATCH, because they said i applied a $25 DISCOUNT already!!

IN CONCLUSION, not only i DID NOT get a deal from the group buy, it end up COST MORE, and expedia and snuggies.com has such BAD BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE scamming customer money. ALSO, DONT BOOK ANY THING WITH EXPEDIA, it is at least 15% more pricier than other websites!!!!

ummm....we booked through Expedia for 3 times already and everything was fine for us..... =/

all were hotel+flight pkgs and one of the pkgs was even booked 6 months in advance and we didn't encounter any problem *touch wood*

My worst experience is about flight booking with Expedia, so anyway I would say just stay away from those 3rd party sites as much as possible. Unless you are getting last minute deals that usually don't involve with changes. If you book ahead, no matter you need to change or the airline changed that forced you to reschedule, then you will be in trouble when your flights are booked with 3rd party sites.

Flight? Unfortunately from Canada these sites are useless. If you plan to fly from US, then you might save a lot of $$$ by using these.

I use Kayak, Priceline and Hotwire for all travel needs. Expedia is always the last place I will go for... even hotel.ca has more reasonable prices.

I am not going to tell my horrible experience with Expedia here, just google yourself "victoms of expedia". It's such a moron!!!!!
