If there is a good deal on the 2011, go for the 2011 model. Differences between the 8th and 9th gen cars are minimal, unless you are talking about the Si model.
The 2012 model has a slightly better fuel economy rating. The ride is also more pedestrian, but that also means it doesn't drive as sporty as the old model. The dash sees an overall styling revision, but nothing major really changed.
