it's good to be "好驚喜".
but many pre-made japanese curry blocks have apples on their package box...
I add shot of esspresso sometimes to my curry to add some bitterness to it too.
It's fun to play with food.
so 沙嗲王 is in hk?
Well... Japanese curry ... they can even add sugar or mirin. apply juice is a way to add sugar too. In general Japanese like sweet food.
The spices are common in most curry dishes, Indian, Pakistani, Thai, Malaysian, except for Japanese curry bar which I have no clue what goes in.
Apparently the OP is looking for some pork chop with creamy gravy poured over.
I can make the Korma chicken as white as chicken a la king ,ginger, garlic, fennel, cumin, coria ...

I am pretty sure you can make very tasty Korma chicken.
But I highly doubt that's what the OP wants... cos... well, in general, people cannot take strong herbs like "fennel, cumin, coriander". And they like creamy, smooth, sweet food.
That's why Japanese curry is so popular.
I don't really like sweet Japanese curry either.
