聯邦兩大在野黨均表示，總理哈珀（Stephen Harper）將要為他上周末在卡加利牛仔節所發表的「傲慢」言論付出代價。哈珀向支持者致詞表示：「保守價值就是加拿大價值。加拿大價值代表保守價值。兩者從來沒有二致。」

哈珀又表明，聯邦保守黨在今年5月大選贏得多數政府執政權，自由黨的主導政壇的時代則宣告結束，而新民主黨（NDP）儘管在魁省表現遠超預期，但這個蜜月期不會維持太久。

The CCP is probably more suitable for China, at this point of their development.

And if you do that in China to any of Grandfather's officials? Look at what happened to all those political prisoners.
