Any good suggestion to buy cheap snowboarding gear?

where can i buy cheaper snowboarding gear...as in boots, outerwear (jackets mainly), and snowboarding bags?
Cheap as in....perhaps under $150 for boots and jackets

if $75 is good for cheap boots. then, should i be thinking about $130 for good/durable quality? and what brand is good? does it matter?

I agree the snowboard boot is very important that you want to invest more. I have bought cheap boots before (new for $75). But they are so uncomfortable that my foot are in pain after a short while. So at the end I bought a more expensive boots which are much more comfortable, and also easy to tie the shoe string.

i think out of all the snowboarding gears, boots are the most important investment you want to buy and do spend a bit more on it since your feet is not going to grow and having a pair of comfortable boots will let you enjoy boarding more. my last pair of boots last for 10 years. in those 10 years, i tried 4 different boards and three differnet jackets. not saying i have the money to spend (all those boards i got were second-handed) but just to let you know if you have a good pair of boots, they last for a long time. the second gear is bindings. then comes to a good pair of pants, gloves, jacket and board.

just my experience. cheers.

you probably want to wait till in Oct. before the ski season start. Many stores will need to clear their inventory to get new stock. If you don't mind travelling to US to pick up your stuff, a friend of mine just ordered his stuff from www.evogear.com . You might want to take a look at it.
Sportchek/Sportmart is always an option for cheap snowboard gear as well
