Share your portrait/people/fashion/beauty photos here with critique

本帖最後由 chobit 於 2012-5-1 00:06 編輯

The LYK photo section has been pretty quite for quite a few years.  Yet, quite few of us have been pretty active the past April.  To keep everything going.  I would like to suggest everyone to post their portrait/fashion/beauty photos here.

I encourage positive critique, so that we can all learn from it.

Here are my suggestions:

1> Only post your own photography, and try to do 1 at a time, so it's easier to repy.
2> Share your good photo - tell us why you like it.
3> Share you average photo - so we can all provide feedbacks on how it can be improved.

Bottom line, let's make this a place where we can all learn something together.

Something different

I don't shoot much street stuff anymore. I now solely concentrate on my Portrait work. For street I've got to a point where it's difficult for me to break to the next level.

Portrait shoots are more flexible since I can do that any time on any day, and it's fun to meet all the people. I am still improving quickly in that area and the stuff gets more attention from others.

But still, I am not getting this batch of cross play photos.  I like the earlier street photos.

I still remember I liked the breaded guy likes the Starbucks logos who is also drinking a Starbucks.  Good observation, whimsical and fun.

Oh, that hard core porn.  I wonder why would anyone thinks about lighting set up in the first place.  ;-/

If you want to find out the lighting, you can get some cues from what is reflected from the eyes.

There is a tiny catch light on the one eye. The deep shadow under the chin looks like a small/hard light.  I guess it would be the sun at a low angle.  No fill, just the sun.

If you want to learn how to light, spend a weekend at strobist.com.  Dave is a nice guy and he tells you anything, no secrets, no hold-outs.

Would you tell us about the setup, is it mix of natural and studio light.  really like the  shallow DOF and the soft lighting.

烏黑的頭髮有光澤,漂亮
