加人「黑色星期五」網購爆倉
邊境代收公司破天荒停收郵件
【明報專訊】加拿大人愛從美國網購，美國「黑色星期五」(Black Friday)與「網購星期一」(Cyber Monday)剛過，位於加美邊境小鎮羅伯茨海角(Point Roberts)的TLC郵件代收公司網站公告，從昨日起暫停接收郵件，公司稱無多餘空間儲藏包裹，還未運達該公司的包裹將被退回託運人，並指暫停接收郵件是該公司史無前例的事情。

TLC公司網站顯示，從昨日(11月30日)起暫停接收所有包裹，「沒有多餘空間接收包裹，否則將違反州消防條例」，而所有已發貨但還未抵達的包裹將會被退回至託運人。

I used it once and it was charged in like 3 weeks. The line shows up as CBSA in Ontario.

I guess now they don't even mail them in?? LOL

For those who use the TDC, have you check your VISA bill?  I found they didn't charge me all the time (we used TDC all the times in the 1st year).  I ask my friend to check and he said the same as well.

I checked with Point Roberts, Blaine and Pacific Crossing, all of the Canadian custom said I can do verbal declaration. I think it's a good idea because if you fill the TDC, you get taxed for everything.

I rather make a second trip to US as well if I know I am over by a bit. It's is better to buy $200/pp each time than $300/pp.

Still, with the amount of traffic back/to US, I don't think the CBSA has that much man power to tax even 20% of them.

The only time of me getting taxed was the time I brought back my puppy picked up from the seattle airport cuz she costed $650 ^_^;;;

    gas cost? I would actually save as I go fill up there as well.
But I work close to the tunnel so it's not too far for me to go to point roberts.

well, like I said, crossing border is always a test on your luck in whether you got tax or not.

Having 4 people may not always help.  However, I found that when having a cute dog with us definitely helped.    I heard a baby will help crossing border too.

4 ppl no use in this scenario, cuz the pair of ski's only for one of the person in the group.

Might as well have each person getting a $200 jacket summing up to $800. Probably better when crossing the border this way.
