And then when China asserts its territorial claims more forcefully, then it is portrayed as the "bad guy"?

You cannot have it both ways.
As for the US, it is the enemy of the Muslim world. Let's not forget the World Trade Center attacks, the US embassies attacks in Africa, and the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan. More recently, the Boston marathon attacks. The US has made itself as the enemy.

and I said nations surrounding China sees its as a threat, including the countries has no border conflicts. I'm not say giving up the territories will solve the problem. Well. but even Chinese government always say共同開發。擱置主權。Then you should ask Chinese government, not me. Dude.
