Nexus application interviews, beginning, charged, process, usually

Question about Nexus application process. I filled in the paper form and sent in my application via snail mail.
I didn't expect to hear from them but I just found out that they charged my credit card $50 last week.

Do they charge at the beginning or end of the application process? I have missed a few phone calls since...
Do they usually call to setup interviews? What is the wait time for the application?

You could do the "retina scan" later at YVR airport without any appointment.  I interview at Blaine  ...

how do u check the schedule? I want to get the "partial" retina scan. So I can only go to DT or ai ...

Check the Blaine office too. I've done mine at Blaine. Also, check their schedule often. There's alw ...

Check the Blaine office too. I've done mine at Blaine. Also, check their schedule often. There's always people cancelling their appointment or they open up new time slots for appointment. I've just done it within 1.5 month I got the schedule notice. My friend keep checking the availability and manage to get it done within 2 weeks.

yes, at least for my case, mine was a brand new application, they charged online
