唔知點好。

我有個 Auntie 答應幫我湊女，但我知人地都係暫時幫，唔會湊幾年咁耐，再加上 Richmond 既Home Daycare好爆，要等分分鐘成年以上，因此我最近不停打電話問。

唐人既地方我無資料，於是搵西人既，問左幾間，有間淨 waiting list 都三十幾人，另外一間我排第五。有一間可能九月有位，咁佢比我入 waiting list。點知下午打電話黎話有個小朋友六月尾走，問我七月開始要唔要，我話我下星期想去佢處睇下先。

其實我上網搵既，其他幾間本身有自己既網址，呢間就無。我可以係waiting list 第一個不特止，聽電話既女人有口音，唔知係唔係印度人。

唔係種族奇視，只係個人 preference。如果下星期去睇真係印度人既Daycare，我就真係好唔想比我個女係咁既環境下成長。但係依家又真係未搵到其他 Daycare。我打算八月返工，真係唔知點算，好唔好照放佢係呢間Daycare直至搵到其他好的再轉？定話比個Auntie湊住先？（Auntie住Laner，下下出入Tunnel我又返downtown都幾遠）。

Yes, I can claim it in tax return, that's what the caretaker told me.

kaimui22, the problem is I am looking for another job now, so I don't know where I'll be end up working.  The good thing about the richmond home daycare is that either me or my husband can pick my daughter up.  Even if both of us are not available, my sister and my close friends are all in Richmond.

wow..home daycare for $900 is quite expensive! Even in yaletown, registered daycare centers are only charging about $1050 a month...

did you consider dropping off your baby in a daycare close to your work place? So you can drop off before work and pick up afterwards...and you can drop by if any emergencies arise or during lunch hour..

Thank God I finally found a nice chinese home daycare a few blocks away from my house.  This lady studied ECE and CPR but she didn't register because she doesn't want to take care of 7 kids and so she could only take 3 max.  It just happened that one of the kids she is taking care now will leave at the end of this month and I called at the right time.  Quite a nice & neat place but charge me $900 a month.

Did you find the daycare? Is the one you mentioned above organized by Indian people?

"Ride cow, find horse" la...you're lucky that you found space immediately!  I'd vote against Indian too if I have other choices like your auntie.

Vancouver daycare system is horrible...it's not friendly for working parents!  I don't know how the gov't wants to get people to have kids but they don't do anything...
