Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence?

After talking to a few of my friends recently, seems like those who have bf/gf wish that they don't, so they can make more dramatic decision for their career life.  They wish they are single at this age (~age25).

While those who don't have bf/gf usually has a more decent career life, but couldn't even have chances to meet opposite sex, and wish they can get a bf/gf.

I guess the Chinese eqv would be: 隔嚟飯香?

is it all about moisture?
the grass which doesn't have the sun light, grow faster and longer....
right?

I am content on where I am (being married and having an okay work); of course I am always looking for for better opportunities and when that time comes I do believe what my wife thinks will be a factor to my decision too.

Do you mind telling us why you need to study after work?

Study for certificate and destination.....?

I know some people  choose to work 14 hours a day to develop a "successful" career and make more money, meanwhile, give no time to the relationship.

I guess, it's all about priority and personal values.

They want the benefits of having a GF or BF, but they don't want to spend time and energy on a relationship.

I think you're making an incorrect assumption here. I believe what ACC-HE is trying to point out is that if someone has a bf/gf, then some career-related decisions that are made can affect that person's other half. Because of this factor, having a bf/gf may sometimes make one think twice about certain career-related decisions compared to when one does not have a bf/gf.

This doesn't really say anything about whether that person is willing to invest time and energy in a relationship. Correct me if I'm wrong ACC-HE.

One of the toughest thing is, relocation.

I guess we all know by now that Vancouver is not really a place with booming business sector.  The east (Toronto?) or down in the US are where all those big  ...

Long D? Some do work...but it's really tough.
When to get married...I think these days people tend to get married later. I guess close to 30? So the couple already work a few years and save some $?

Put it simply, coming over here to Vancouver was not the wisest decision.

What do you mean? Please elaborate.
