My birthday dinner is this Saturday, I was planning to go to Bogart's Chophouse but I failed to call in early to make reservations so they are all full for that night. Now I need to pick another restaurant. I am looking for one that will take reservations for Saturday night, fits around 20 people, great food, price range of $30-40/person, in Vancouver but preferably not in downtown since it would be hard to find parking... I need something different and special... nothing like Cactus Club or Milestones... Thanks!!!

When are they moving and to where? Any change of chef, etc when they do this?

It says on their website that they will reveal details of their new location in fall 2009. Ｉ think everything (food, chef) would be the same, just the location would be changed since they are forced to move because "The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) has announced that it will not renew leases for non container-related businesses within the port for security and operational reasons after 2010."

I already went to Chop last month, too expensive and I didn't like it. I just called the Cannery and made reservations. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Chop is also a great choice. But it's in Richmond. They have a private room next to the lounge but I am not sure if that will fit 20 ppl.

I just called to make a reservation for a lunch party. I was told that the private room in the lounge at CHOP can sit 12 ppl. 15% service charges will be added to big parties.

If you don't mind the gastown/chinatown location, try Boneta great food super good bar.
I don't think you can book thro opentable for large group like that. give them a call and see.

I think Sanafir is also a great choice. It's a matter of finding a place still have 20 seats available on Sat nite.
