Petro-Canada costs as much as 7-eleven but has shorter expiration dates. I wouldn't take them.
It really depends on how many minutes she will use versus the expiration date for top-up cards. The best two are 7-eleven at 25 cents/minute with card expiration after 365 days and President's Choice Mobile at 20 cents/minute with card expiration after 60 days (for $25 top up cards).
If the account is refilled before the expiration date, whatever amount of money is already in the account is brought up to the new expiration date.
I think it's the same for that and the 7-11 phone... they are always almost free.
