Has anybody tried expedia.ca for booking hotels? Is it cheaper than booking through a travel agent?

Used it for few times already.... as most of LYK said, you really have to do some research. Sometime it's cheaper , but sometimes it's way more expensive!

6月去port mcneil business trip,用expedia book o左一間$149,去到發現其他hotel 可以平到$69...
因為其他hotel o既老闆唔識用expedia,所以用expedia 搵唔到佢o地...建議搵多幾個site比較o下..

use expedia to do research, then contact the hotel directly (thru their website or phone them). If you book thru expedia, you to pay the full price but if you book thru the hotel's website you usually ...

that's a good point, if you book thru expedia, refund has to be made by them in case you cancel the trip and change your mind, not by hotel, procedure might be more complicated. However, sometimes you get better deal thru expedia versus book thru hotel websites.

Sometimes expedia is less expensive, sometimes travelocity is less expensives, really depends on the location.... need to compare before booking
