Where to get a bike ?

For a cheap leisure bike below $200, should I get it from big boxes, sport shops or bike shops ?
No one in those big boxes can tell me how to pick a right one.  Any bike shop recommended near Metrotown ? Or my budget is too low to get an expert's advice ?

u should have gone to the police auction a couple weeks ago.
New LYK is not user friendly and is annoying. Now you can blow me.

How "leisure" you mean ar? And how often and how far would you use it each time ar? Bike range could be pretty wide ga wor. If you don't mind an used one, try search on the net la!

How leisure ? not for commuting to work, just some work out or weekend trail riding.
When I visited some bike shops last weekend, I found myself so cheap.   Those entry level bikes @ bike shops start from $400 in average.  I know I get what I paid for but $400+ is way out of my budget. I think I can only look at SportcXXk and Walmart...

It's not cheap to get a bike here.

Costco had bikes on sale last week... I think they were like $135 but they were gone pretty fast. There are lots of places selling "cheaper" bikes like: Can Txrx, Wxlmxrt, Spxrtx...etc

NORCO is my pick.

You can go to Craigslist" http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/ "for some used bike. If you can get a several years old (not the antique) bike 50% of the original price, you get  youself a deal. Some of the listings are overcharged or the bike is not in good shape, you have to go to wait and check for the deal. It is part of the fun.

Have fun searching.

Thank you all.
Will check Costco & CT tomorrow.

do some research, and you'll end up with a better used bike on craiglist than any crappy new bike from Costco and CT.

Someone tossed out an old Schwinn, I took it. Repaired a few thngs, bought the rear rack from 16 & main.
So now is riding not bad.
I have a GT dual suspension & a Kuwahara racing bike. But worry the GT get stolen, the racing bike has skinny tires, ride around the beach can be a real PITA.

Anyways if u need help may give u some idea.
How much u wanna a ride though, only around the block every other week then u no need very good bike.
Quite often used bikes are hardly ridden at all. Mines the tires are almost new. But look rust & old, but it least attract thieves lor.
