I agreed. the new one just too big. I dont like the height of the car,
you can easily tell the interior material been down graded.
Let's not get confused between the MkII Mini and the Mini Clubman. The regular MkII Mini is only fractionally bigger than the MkI cars, while the Mini Clubman is sinful looking because of its extra length, making the proportions all wrong.
i own the new mini... not the CVT transmission one...
I have it for a year and 3 months...
the performance is great... great handling... the yaletown service has been great! ppl are nice there..
fuel consumption is good.. around 600KM for 1 tank of full gas... i use 94 too...
maintenance cost wise is around $105 for each year? change oil etc... not too crazily expensive...
If you like the car for what it is, go for it. I would avoid the MkI cars, but the MkII cars is not a bad choice. (Mind you, I wouldn't say it's an excellent choice either.)
I wouldn't go for the MCS version because the sports suspension makes the ride a bit too stiff. The car already rides on a very short wheelbase, so the stiffer suspension really makes for a harsh and jarring ride.
