Land immigrant?

Do we still need to keep the land immigrant paper? not the card ah.....the paper one....I already a Canadian,if I lost it, what can I do?

Just to boost you up to top of all the topics since nobody can answer you the question. If you are serious about it, try the govenment.

For myself, I would care less where the landed paper once citizen card is issued. But don't take my answer as correct, it's only me. Somebody may have a better and offical answer.

Yes, that is the only official document that can proof when you first landed Canada.  For example, when you need to get 老人金 the government will need you to proof if you have living in Canada for over certain years, then this is the time you may need it.

If you lose it or for any reason that you dont have it you can always get a certify true copy from the government.

I remember I need to fill out a form and then pay them they will mail another photocopy (certify one) of landing paper to you.  In my case I donno why they accidentally collect our landing paper when we first apply for canadian citizenship.  I think the form is downloadable at goverment website or I got mine at Success.

Hope it helps.
