[日本料理] Review: Shima-Ya

I have actually went to many places to eat these few weeks.. and I am here to share with you guys.

Shima-Ya is a small authentic Japanese restaurant in Vancouver East. Chef Fukushima used to work at Chiyoda and Yoshi downtown until he opened up his own restaurant in April 2007. Chef Fukushima’s wife told me that they do get some of their fishes from Japan.

Overall: 7.175/10
(Good Japanese restaurant that provides authentic Japanese food. As I have mentioned on my blog, the food were better on previous visits.)

i just tried this place tonight. we have 3 people , we order the 7 kind sashimi and Party tray A, quite full. The total came to $66.18, and we paid $75 including tips...  so ya.. around $25 per person. As the OP said, I agree with him/her that the sashimi is fresh, the sweet prawn is sweet and fresh. love it. I quite like the Red Tuna too. I would definitely go back to this place again.
