The Blue Tarayon one is analogue, you get a much much slower speed. The black Motorola one is digital, you will get much faster speed. Call Shaw and they will mail you the Motorola one by CanadaPost.

The new Motorola modem had been available for years already. Are we talking about another newer modem?

the Tarayon modem is very very old...  i got the Motorola one for at least 2 years already... but it's not black tho.. it's a navy blue... perhaps not the newest model.

I got Tarayon modem and it's very slow. Called shaw and they sent a person to switch the modem for me. Now I'm 10x faster.
