Really??? I have been living in Canada for 32 years and never work overtime without  OT payment(150-200% of regular pay) plus
extra  meal/coffee break.
nor I have seen any co-workers doing so. Unless the employee is illegal worker.
Doing volunteering work is totally different issue.

when we discuss, you should point out your point of view first, in stead of just copy and paste.  Then it's a news.

Actually I not even care about this issue because it's happening in every countries not just Canada.  In addition, even though sometimes I work overtime for free but sometimes I can get off work early so I do not this is an issue for me.

Unless you are the one always work overtime for free.
