Security tag still on the purchased product, what to do? tag, product, Security, purchased

I bought a hoodie from the Gxp Outlet in the States east coast a while ago, took it out lately wanted to wear it and found out that the security tag is still attached to it!!
Luckily I still have the receipt, so I took it to the Gxp store nearby and asked if they could remove the tag for me. The salesperson said that their tag system here is different. Here they use magnetic system the tag is detached when it got tapped on their device, but the one on my hoodie use pin system so they cannot take the tag out for me. He said that all Gxp in Canada use the magnetic system.

Anyone has similar situation happened before? any idea what I can do for this purchased hoodie with security tag on it? I am not planning to go to the States anytime soon.

I had similar experience. I bought a coach bag from the outlet in US. And every time I pass through different stores exit the security sounds. At first I don't know why it happens. There is no big security tag in the bag. But it's so annoying that every time the alarm sounds and the sales there give u a suspicious look. So I finally search my bag and there is a small tag (like a sticker) inside. Seems they forgot to take it out. So after I throw it away, no problem at all.

omg same here! i was wondreing what's going on!! i also bought a coach in seattle outlet and everytime i go ANYWHERE it beeps.. (if i stand close to the sensor)

future shop person "demagnitized" my purse so now it doesnt beep.. but i'll look for the sticker.. what does it look like and where did u find it?

    It's top right "sticker" in habitrailspace's picture.  I found it inside the zipped pocket.

if pin type security tag, maybe you can go to sportchek and ask one of the cashiers to help you remove it.  
I used to work at sportchek, they use pin type security tag.
