稀土係中國嘅資源，賣唔賣同定咩價真係絕對係中國嘅自由。老共其實絕對可以當班友係死嘅。你老美想玩野咩？要玩嘅話，大家只會攬住一齊死，但分分鐘老美會死得難睇過老共好多～

但講返轉頭，阿爺自己響國內夠成日有恃無恐咁夾硬去收人民啲地，但又唔係點賠錢啦～ 所以阿爺自己其實一樣咁賤架。

The thing is, rare earth metals extraction is really very much of an environmental disaster. Percentage composition of rare earth metals are extremely low, so excavation needs to be done on a really massive scale in order to extract small amounts of them. But to have that super massive scale, you either do what China does -- which is to completely ignore the disastrous environmental consequences, or you spend ridiculous amounts of money on environmental protection / re-development plans after the excavation.

The western world doesn't want to pay for those expensive environmental protection measures, so they will gladly buy the rare earth metals from China b/c China didn't used to give a damn (and probably still don't) about taking the proper measures.
