Report: Students avoid colleges they think are "too asian"
Students say it's not about racism

Some students tell Macleans it's not about racism, but about the fact that many white undergrads are simply unwilling to sacrifice their time, freedom, and "full university experience" to compete academically with asian students; both those born in Canada and those who have come here from somewhere else.

We spoke with an asian student attending UBC, who admits he and his peers feel resentment. But he adds he has worked hard for his marks and his seat at the university, and feels it's simply unfair to be categorized by race.

That's true thou.

How many of you like I did went to a college that have no other asian ? or chinese people?

In my college life, we drank beer during lunch time, play fools ball at night, play multi-player on LAN in the lab, pick up girls, get laid, watch NHL finals together in the lobby.
almost party on campus every week.

but when i ask my other friends at UBC SFU ... they dun do much stuff like this...

they go to class, go to club, and study  and go home...

They dun drink they dun party and they dun get laid.... how boring....

where is the real college life??

Your college experience represents the crumbling of western culture.

Lemme ask you this: What's the point of going to college / university?

Are you there to enjoy life? Are the 2 years of college, or 4 years of university just a big, long party of beer and promiscuous sex? Or are you there to invest in your mind and your future?

Don't take me wrong. A proper study-play balance is important. But in university life, your primary goals are to invest in yourself and your future while enriching your experience at the same time. Socializing is important, but drinking and party are of secondary importance.

You can have your fun, but other people have their own ways of doing things.
It is the western countries that are crumbling and going bankrupt.

I totally disagree with you that Asian students only study without any partying. From what I can see, Asian students also go partying, shopping, eating etc.
