有關passport 的問題 arm

arm arm check 過 ppt 既網頁, 證件相其中一張背面要有 Guarantor 既簽名, 請問guarantor 是否需要專業人仕如家庭醫生?
而passport application 有一欄係 declaration of guarantor, 我是否需要一齊比埋家庭醫生填寫?

if you are renewing your old passport through the simplified application...nope the guarantor does not need to be a professional

i was my brother's guarantor when she renew his a month ago...and he got the passport with no problem

[edit] hold on...if you are doing an simplified adult renewal you dont even need an guarantor...its only for child applications

The guarantor requirement has changed few months ago.  Anyone who has a Canadian passport can be a guarantor.  And for renew passport, you don't need a guarantor anymore.

You can obtain forms from the passport office or post office.

個 staff 話本passport 過期超過6 個月就唔係用 renewal form, 已係要從新apply 過。所以我拎左份adult passport application.

而家填緊﹐有幾個問題想問問。
1) Place of Birth, 拒有 city, province and country 要我填。
我0係元朗出世﹐是否應該 City: Yuen Long  Province:New Territory (or Hong Kong?)Country: Hong Kong or China?

2) Provide certificate of Canada citizenship #.
我是否只需要填寫現在持有的 citizenship card 個# 就可以了? 因為 instruction 有句:
CERTIFICATE OF CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP
Large commemorative documents of citizenship issued after February 14, 1977, are not accepted.

1.  just write hong kong at city...leave the other two blank

2.  yup put the number from your small citizenship card...but you also need the big thing because it tells you when you become a canadian citizen
