Depends on where you live in Richmond I guess...Shaw is less stable but fast than Telus usually...
New districts do might not have service for Telus yet...Make sure they cover your area before applying for them cuz Telus screwed me up when I moved to my current apartment...

I just moved from Vancouver (South Granville) to Richmond recently, had been using Shaw for 5 years in Vancouver with no problem at all. However Shaw is very unstable after I have moving to Richmond, I knew cuz I am using VOIP phone, my phone was totally unusable during evening and night times. Just switched to Telus last week, now my phone is working great. I think it depends on whereabout you're living in Richmond then.

I'm in central Richmond area, according to Telus, they don't provide Internet service here.  So I've been using Shaw for 4+years, not too much problems, but the speed is unstable sometime. I combine  it with my TV (the first 30 CH and Chinese CH).  The total comes to $72 including Tax.  It use  to be $60 a few years back, they've been jacking up the prices slowly, hoping that we might not notice it.

Depends on the Area in Richmond

SouthWest Richmond (Around Steveston area) Shaw is faster

NorthEast-ward like No.4 & Westminister would be better with Telus

This is based on experience between me and my g/f because she recently changed from Shaw to Telus and now it's so much faster & more stable, but then her area seems to be more affected by winds and other weather related stuff

which one is less likely in catching those with overload bandwidth? ha..I used Shaw in richmond before and they were quite strict with their bandwidth...is Telus less restricting?
