It seems that they are doing this kind of Friends and Family sale more often than before.

It used to be such a big deal and have a big sales back then.  Back then they do this every 4 months or so.

Looks like for this one, the discount is taken off the lowest ticketed price. That doesn't appear that often though.

so... that means anything other than laptops, monitors and major appliances, the discount applies to current price. :-)
