Last Sunday at around 7pm on Thurlow between Robson and Alberni, my bf parked his car in front of Joe Fortes where the parking meter says it's only effective until 6pm. It was 7pm so we didn't put any money into the meter. Two hours later, he got ticketed. The violation is "remained parked in a metered space where the meter head at said space displays four flashing zeros in a window". @7:02pm. The officer must had assumed that the parking meter is effective until 8pm or something? What to do now @_@

Yea, I told him to dispute it too, but he would have to go to Robson Law Courts from in PERSON sometime from Mon-Fri 8 to 3 or something, and he's not free on any of those days cause of work. It's so stupid <_<

r u sure you could park your car there after 6pm?
If I'm correct, all parking meters are effective until 8pm in downtown.  And no parking right in front of Joe Fortes after 6pm, because it's for their Valet, and taxi station or something like that...
