mc d's regular coffee here use the same beans as starbucks...but sells for much cheaper price!
$1.50 you can get muffin and coffee...starbucks, not even a tall coffee with that
my friend in Macau also visited the Mc Cafe over there, besides coffee, they are also offering pastries like cheesecake and tiramisu. Price is pretty much the same as a local 茶餐廳, but he said the environment is way better, the desserts he had was pretty good too.
I guess McDon is never a real "cheap" priced restaurant in Asian, therefore its not as hard to establish a higher end image for its extensive product line. If a Mc Cafe is opened here, its gonna take way more effort to remove the low end image
how come they never show the other ones to prove there is only one McCafe in those 3 cups.... even the Pepsi booth here does that.... it looks quite fishy to me.... more like filmed advertisement instead of real testing booth factual result.
there was used to be one inside the main office on willingdon..but theyclosed it a yr or 2 ago

their coffee is not exceptionally good but it is very expensive, nobody will buy ga wor you know, Canada has a lot of choices around coffee.
I talked to someone in HK MacDonalds, even their staff think the coffee is overpriced, it's like $25-$28 a cup of course, compared to HK starbucks, it is cheap, maybe that's why they can still survive.
