Yes, LYK is a conservative forum, which AV, BT and swearing are not welcome.
I don't care if someone would create a Vancouver forum which offers AV and BT, it is an open mark ...

You didn't get my point. What I meant was, people are upset and disappointed NOT because of here is conservative and no AV & BT is allowed, IT'S BECAUSE OF YOUR ATTITUDE!

What about YOUR attitude?

I don't understand why everyone is blaming Admin for creating a forum and then saying there's no freedom of speech..etc etc. Shouldn't we be 感激 that Admin contribute his time and money in creating a place for those that want to share/contribute (of course according to Admin's standards and POV)? Instead of 感激, those who got kicked/banned are 責怪 Admin for being a dictatorship. It's HIS forum, not ours. He welcomed us into his own private space (it's a private space because it requires a membership) and therefore he has the right to limit the membership and/or take memberships away if certain members are not adhering to his rules.

What else is there to understand and argue about? It's not OUR forum, it's HIS. He can do whatever he likes. And he welcomed you into his forum but now you're turning the finger against him saying he has an attitude problem for trying to filter members that he doesn't like?

on the other hand, I think LYK should have a forum function like some other forums I go to...a function to block out certain member's post if we don't want to see them. Another forum I go to, you can choose to filter posts so you can skip a certain member's posts if you don't want to see them...that way, if someone finds someone else's posts offensive, they can filter out that member's posts in all threads in the future so they don't have to deal with it.

i would like to 感激 microsoft who created windows, 感激 apple who created mac os x, 感激 whoever who created keyboard and mouse

secondly
i would like to 感激 google, google team, their webmasters, the guys at discuz, the guys at comsez inc for creating such a good forum php script

lastly
i would like to 感激 my mum and dad, so i have eyes to see, to surf the web... etc...

I'm new to LYK. New to the Forum world. Didn't read much of those who have been banned from this web. So I'm not commenting in those instances.

I have tried some of the Hong Kong sites but really too many swears do make me frustrated, so I chose not to go there anymore. It's more like a personal choice. U like AV, go to the AV forums, there'r tons of them. U like BT, sure lots of your choces as well.  Some like Vansky, gum go to Vansky lor! This is our choice, our freedom.

When u sign the membership, there'r certain rules. U press the "agree" button, so keep your words.

In LYK, ppl can share info, comments, opinions... etc. but is it neccessary to use swearing word?????
U have points, u can say it in a way without swearing. I do believe most of us are capable of making "non-swearing" sentences.

but that is your personal opinion...if you find this forum boring, you can choose not to come and read

there are members that still come to this forum regardless of how "boring" or "conservative" it seems

LYK still appeals to a certain audience...so why shut it down because it doesn't interest you?
