You stupid moron, Baidu was founded by private entrepreneurs, and is not supported by the government in any way.
Please educated yourself before embarrassing yourself here.
Baidu is especially good when searching for Chinese materials, and therefore is more popular than google in China.
The strength of any search engine is in its search algorithm, not in the layout. In fact, most search engines have simple functional user interface. Please learn some IT knowledge before spewing crap here.

That is the reason why China is not a closed country. The people can freely travel all over the world and then back to China. Millions of tourists and business people travel out of China and then back to China. They could read anything and surf the internet during their time outside of China. Do you see those people revolt against China?

first. it shows the youtube video or lyric site. that's not for download. and none of the link can lead to a  free download site on the first page. Yet in Baidu you can just click "MP3" you have more than 10 link you can download them. Try harder

second, Music is an "product". filtering out the "thief" who steal the "product" is not censorship.
Information and news are under "Freedom of Press". if you filter those that's NOT OK.
