I am poor too....
I have my 窮人三寶, so yes
I still have 3 lenses.......

I thought the regular neck strap is good enough, that's how I always carry mine

I bought one before my trip to Alaska few months ago.  You can actually mount it on the camera body, instead of the lens.  It's relatively expensive, but my idea is to be able to use two camera at the same time, which actually works pretty well.  But for daily use, I still prefer my regular high quality strap which work better on weight reduction.

BTW, they are available locally here in Seattle at both Kenmore camera, and Glazer camera..

not very practical
if you're carrying the camera with this strap around, you'll prolly hit the lens against the wall, people, etc etc.
but if you're shooting for an event, most of the time you'll hold the camera in your hand.

Let me buy some from SSP and try try sin ..

Nobody has mentioned, is it practical to have camera flash on too?

then you wear your packpack first, and your camera last

Should be la..

Flash should be on camera all the time anyway .... ^_^

I meant, of course the strap won't affect the camera flash to malfunction, but would it be too bulky to carry two big cameras with long and short lens and flash under your armpits??

In my case, I didn't have flash on the camera..!  I was just using it with my 70-200 f/2.8 & 300 f/4 with and without 1.4x 2x TC on my 1dsm3, and 5dm2. wildlife shooting..!  What happen is the RS-5 allows the camera to go up and down without moving the strap itself, but my 2nd camera with the regular strap would sit on top.  Now both cameras can be move around without the straps tangle together..!

If I would to just carry one camera, and not worry about changing lens and tripod, then I think the RS-5 is good.  Otherwise, I like using the regular strap, where it can easily keep the camera in front of me for lens changing..!  But it's worth trying for yourself and see if it works for you.

I came up with the idea, when I had trouble shooting with regular strap with 2 cameras when I was shooting the parade couple months ago...!

Then it doesn't matter if it is the normal next strap or this R strap.

And this is why I prefer just hand strap, and if needed, can attach the neck strap to hand strap anyway ..
