what a stupid question from the custom...
I would say a lot of people in canada makes about 3000 dollars after tax.  So we should all be treated like criminals when we buy tickets to fly to asia rofl.
Even those air ticket to BC interior can be quite expensive (some even more expensive than going HK)... sigh...

Whenever a person brought too many luggages, it will trigger the immigration. Seems like this lady brought too many luggages! The rule of thrumb of passing the immigration is:

1. always dress like a refugee........ carrying expensive purse or bags is a big no no
2. Never put more than 2 luggages in the cart.

There's one time, my family and my aunt's family came back to Vancouver at the same time. We had 4 luggages seaprated into 2 carts, and we were fine. My aunt had 4-5 luggages putting in the same cart, she had to be checked by immigration!

Canadian & US immigration are always sensitive to girl/women who travel by themselves.......

There are tones of Chinese people going in and out of Canada everyday, if she got picked on, there must be a reason.

    One reason is that she travels single and is a "visitor"...
I saw a couple times custom just pick on single female traveler to check...

Some people earn CAD$2000+ per month but buy handbags or cameras for $1000+ each. People can have freedom and different value to spend their own money, is it a big deal?! I think language problem is a bigger issue this time.
