The first batch of trans were purchased from Siemens, Kawasaki etc. Nowadays, the new generation trains are all indigenously designed in China.
They were decades behind, but now they are among the leaders in the world for highspeed railway technology. Of course, any type of Chinese rapid rise would draw a lot of jealousy from foreigners.

Do you know how many gold bullions were looted by the Japanese from China?
