I find it surprising that Lau Wah (or maybe it's really Team Lau Wah here) would pursue something like this. Clearly, there is no sense of taking advantage of Lau Wah, as the old man is called that himself all along.
If Lau Wah were really to pursue the matter legally, it would only tarnish his name b/c he'll be seen as using his name and his fame to bully the old man. How can he possibly not see this?
