frankly... does Richmond has this kind of market need?
I don't know. You can hardly find any organic/local food or locally hand craft products stores in Richmond.
e.g.
There isn't even a Choices in Richmond which has stores in bby, surrey and Vancouver.I think I am giving up....
This is just typical American style big development. The Americans are taking over retail in Canada. Some residential development on top of the outlet would be nice. At least, they should grow grass on the roof top to replace some green habitat.
They can't build much on top since it's under the flight path. The Walmart itself will be 3 stories building already.
I think their new proposal includes cutting all the tress and in return they will put grass on the roof top of some parking.
Another outlet coming to Richmond.

At least this location make sense. It's near the airport and has Canada Line station right there. So tourist can just train there and shop before they head back home.
It looks like Morgan Crossing in Surrey, smaller but it is all big box retailers. I rather have a mall that is locally or Canadian owned that offer more choices like Whole Foods, IGA, etc. I am surprise even London Drugs open there.
