Do you people remember that many years ago when you buy newspaper in Hong Kong, they didn't give you a plastic bag? Then some years ago they started to use plastic bags. So you people should not take it for granted that they should give you plastic bags, as we are using way too many bags anyways. If you buy newspaper from a box on the street, do you get plastic bags? It is unreasonable to ask for plastic bags.

Although everyone argued on how "polite" she was, many would continue to buy newspaper from that place anyway...just because many people get used to this kind of "service".

In fact, from my personal experience, many shops in Parker Pl**e simply don't have basic customer services.
Many people who work in there simply own the shops. They are the "boss" of these shops so there is no need to worry on complaints and etc...In typical weekday if you go to Phase II of the mall, at least 20-30% of the shops are "closed". They simply open the light and leave the shop empty. This shows how they care about their shops...     

If you are looking for basic customer services, just go to other places like Aberdeen, Richmond Center, Oakridge center and etc.

Back to the topic...I think it's ok to not give plastic bags, but attitude of that shop owner is... >_<
