If you're the cop, would you still remember that you're at a gas station when somebody pulls out a gun and start shooting at you? If it were in a croweded area, then yes, I may not pull the gun. But  ...

then we can see "Die Hard 4.5" that kills, which is not funny at all

I thought we spent a few billion dollars on a failed gun registry system.

If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

I am seriously thinking
Holding a firearm drunk might not shoot straight, if the bullet goes to the gas tank, or goes to a passer-by, you're gonna blame the police again?

excuse me, who is trying to blame the police here?

A good cop shouldn't "forget" where the situation he/she is involving in the crime scene at anytime, or else how can he/she take correct judgment and reaction? Just like this case, definitely shooting in the gas station area is at certain high risk, no matter how accurate the cop can shoot on the subject, there is "sparks" that can kill too. As simple as why people can't smoke at gas station? Even they don't fire up the gas tanks directly?

Another issue is, if cops are well trained (supposed) and didn't get drunk (supposed) and so they can "shoot straight", why don't they shoot at the suspects' limbs first rather than "just to kill" them? Or is the training trained them to "shoot down any suspect first place no matter what"? I dunno ar.

It's true that given the proper mixture of vapor of gas + oxygen + spark = explosion  I think this cop has done the right thing.

It's not like cops should never approach a suspect at a gas station, unless you know ahead the suspect has firearms.

In this case, bulltets being fired at either ends would probably increase the risk of having an explosion, so kill him ASAP was a correct dicision.

Funny thing is, this is exactly the kind of situation where a Taser could not be used, unfortunately.
